Iideal for a couple for a weeks vacation in Puerto Rico. Just across from 'La Pared' the famous surfers beach in northeastern Puerto Rico. You see the ocean from the porch and hear the waves at night.

This is a downstairs apartmen with a nice backyard patio. Two houses from the main plaza and across an open block from the ocean.

Just around the corner from the plaza; you can easily walk to the bakery for breakfast. There are a variety of restaurants within easy walking distance. The Mini Market is a block away.

You can choose from several types of beaches. Closest ( across the street and over the vacant lot) is 'La Pared' which is for surfers and boogie boarders. The point is 3 blocks away and has protected water, even some reef to snorkel on! The next bay to the west, just past the point, 'Playa Azul' beach has nicer, easier waves which are great for body surfing . . . continue west to the Balneario ( Public Beach with facilities) which offers flat calm smooth water. . . . Going East you can walk for literally miles on the beaches of the wildlife reserve. This reserve is a major important nesting site for Leatherneck Turtles ( in the spring).

Luquillo is the closest beach to the entrance to the El Yunque rainforest, up road # 191, about a 10 minute drive away. You would need a car to go up the El Yunque rainforest mountain, no public transportation is available. You could book a private tour and they would pick you up, but a rental car is less expensive and a real plus in this area. Other than walking, there is no other way to get around.
